Department of Transportation Services (DOTS) is committed to providing all members of the Rutgers community with the best possible solutions for getting around campus safely and easily. The university maintains various parking facilities including permit-controlled lots and decks, metered parking spaces, access-controlled lots, and restricted assigned lots. Transportation to, from, and on campus includes campus transit and shuttle services, walking and bike paths, and public transportation services.

  • Rutgers Department of Transportation Services (DOTS) and University Planning and Development will be “popping up” across Rutgers University and Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS). Stop by the information table to ask questions or provide feedback about the transportation system and learn more about DOTS' current programs and services, such as BikeRU ( We will also be introducing and providing information on the University's Transportation Master Plan effort, which is currently underway.   • Zone A, and Zone B permits are sold out, if you would like to be added to the waitlist please email; include your name ruid # and the zone permit you wish to purchase.

  • Rutgers Student parking permits are now available, please click here

  • RBHS Student permits  All RBHS student permits will be valid immediately upon purchase, additional monthly permits for August are not required

  • Newark Transit System
