Department of Transportation Services (DOTS) is committed to providing all members of the Rutgers community with the best possible solutions for getting around campus safely and easily. The university maintains various parking facilities including permit-controlled lots and decks, metered parking spaces, access-controlled lots, and restricted assigned lots. Transportation to, from, and on campus includes campus transit and shuttle services, walking and bike paths, and public transportation services.

  • Beginning 4PM Wednesday November 26 2014 through 8AM Monday December 1, 2014 weekend parking rules are in effect
  • RUDOTS offers a one-hour Bicycle Safety Education Course on how to be a safer cyclist and feel more comfortable traveling with traffic.   • RUDOTS now offers free bicycle repair stations at several convenient locations on the Rutgers-New Brunswick campus.   • As part of the College Avenue Redevelopment Initiative, the new Hillel House is beginning construction in Lot 11. As a result, the front entrance to Lot 11 (off of College Avenue) will be permanently closed. A new entrance has been placed off of Mine Street. If you have questions about parking, please email
