Department of Transportation Services (DOTS) is committed to providing all members of the Rutgers-New Brunswick/Piscataway campus with the best possible solutions for getting around campus safely and easily. The university maintains various parking facilities including permit-controlled lots and decks, metered parking spaces. access-controlled lots, and restricted assigned lots. Transportation to, from, and on campus includes campus transit and shuttle services, walking and bike paths, and public transportation services.

- All commuter
permits purchased online are mailed to your home address. Park as if you
have the permit. Parking locations for each zone can be found below on
the "parking lots" link. Resident permits purchased online can be picked
up 48 hours after purchase at the Public Safety Building.
- Transit
Alert - Due to pedestrian safety concerns on Avenue E caused by the
Business School construction project, starting Tuesday Jan 17th the LX
and B routes will no longer service the Livingston Health Center stop.
Please use the Plaza stop if you are planning to go to the Health Center
- Faculty/Staff
that have purchased their 2012 permit and have not yet received it, can
park as if they have the permit.

name on a wait list by sending an email to waitlist@aps.rutgers.edu.
Include your name, your RUID and the Zone you would like to purchase.
Around mid September students will be contacted if there is room within
that zone. The list will be on a first come basis. In order to park
anywhere on a Rutgers campus, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, a
permit must be purchased.
